Tide, current and weather conditions are only available for US and US-territory coastal waters. Locations outside that coverage area, or locations far from a known tide/current station, won't show a conditions indicator - this isn't a bug, it's a real coverage limit of the underlying data sources.
This also requires an internet connection. If you're offline, the ocean-conditions button and the Calculate Diving Conditions toggle are disabled until you're back online.
You can always enter your weight manually instead, whether you initially declined the health-data permission prompt or just prefer not to connect it. Manual entry works exactly the same as a connected value for calculating your recommended ballast weight.
Settings > Acknowledgements > Anonymous Analytics has a toggle that turns off DiveReady's anonymous usage analytics entirely, at any time.
